Turning 1 and dialing 911
Last Sunday, June 22, Jackson had his first birthday. Can you believe how fast this kid is growing? We had a small party for him in our backyard. It was my family and Melissa's family, no kids kind of sad because Jackson needs someone to play with. He even had his own little birthday cake. Now you would think that after spending a year of not knowing how good cake is that he would try it. He did not. He did have fun smashing it. He got a lot of cool toys which he is proud of as you can see in the pictures.
He also recently had his one year check up. He is healthy. He is a big boy. He was in the 90% for his weight. He was 92% for his height, and a whopping 99% for the size of his head! (Must be a smart baby with that big of a head) He was 26 lbs which makes sense since he is almost too heavy to carry. When is he going to learn to walk?
Now come what happen today. While I was at work Melissa and Jackson were playing in the living room. She gets a phone call from 911 asking if there was anything wrong because they just got a call from our number. Melissa remembered that Jackson was playing with the phone earlier and put two and two together. We had a culprit. Melissa explained to her that everything was alright and that Jackson had been playing with the phone. The lady preceded to ask her question just to make sure that everything was alright and that someone wasn't forcing her to lie. Melissa thought that was it and went downstairs with Jackson. A little bit later she got another call saying that there was a police officer knocking at our door and that she should answer it. She then explained the situation to him. Now I know that there would be a time when Jackson would call 911 but who would have thought that it would be when he was one.
I think that we have a monster on our hands!

I'm supprized that you didn't remember when Matt did the same thing. Must be in the jeans or something.
Love Dad
Spence and Michaela didn't walk until they were 14 months old. We always attributed this to the fact that there were so many adults around waiting to hold them that they never needed alternative transportation.
When Layla was a toddler and wanted to be picked up, she would say "hold you?" So many people always inquiring if she wanted to be held she mixed up the words.
Can wait to see you all.
